Not to mention, the street scene in these cities are a valuable source of inspiration. From fashionable power women parading through the city to the many store windows that together breathe the same atmosphere. City streets are the real runways.
Packed with inspiration and ideas, our designers set to work visualizing all trends and influences. Inspiring and expressive images are carefully processed into moodboards and divided into themes. From raw and multiverse to bliss and back hand: each theme is unique and has a clear style, reflected by the use of colors, materials, shapes and designs. Clothing is an important guideline in this. To achieve an innovative overall picture, we take the clothing trends as our starting point and design shoes that are the ultimate finishing touch.
Everything is mapped out: the expected fashion trends for the new year, elaborated and visualized. Next comes one of the most essential parts of the design process, namely selecting what fits the DNA of VIA VAI. We do this in our own distinctive and contemporary way. Designing a new collection begins at the drawing board in Waalwijk (NL). This is still done the traditional way: by hand, pencil and paper. Up to eight hand-drawn sketches are made per model. We strive for perfection in every detail. Whether it's a lace eyelet, zipper or tongue label, every feature is thought out to perfection to achieve a unique result. And so, the shoe-love story begins....
